Presentation

A Deeper Mat, a Richer Look

Every portrait is presented with a 3 mm off-white mat — about twice as thick as a standard mat. Its 45° bevelled edge casts a soft shadow, giving the artwork real depth, like a window into the painting.

Our mats are acid-free, so they won’t yellow or harm the artwork over time. The mat also holds the painting away from the acrylic front, protecting its surface. We never frame full-bleed; our artists set the mat opening to suit your photo.

FAQ

Frame Questions

What can I choose for my frame?

Choose the wood (black walnut, teak, ebony or beech), the frame profile (rounded, square or bevelled) and the size when you order.

Can I have a frame without a mat?

Every portrait is presented with our 3 mm acid-free mat — we don’t offer full-bleed framing. The mat adds depth and keeps the painting off the acrylic. Our artists set the mat opening to suit your photo.

Can I choose the mat colour?

Every mat is a soft off-white, chosen because it sits quietly beside any artwork and any of our four woods.

Is the front glass or acrylic?

A clear acrylic front — lighter than glass and shatter-resistant, so it arrives safely.

Can the frame hang on a wall?

Yes — every frame can hang on the wall or stand on a shelf or desk, in portrait or landscape.

How do I care for my frame?

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight and damp rooms.

Does every artwork come framed?

Yes — every artwork arrives matted and framed, ready to display or give.
